When i try to start my car it just clicks a few times.

Why won't my car start after replacing the starter. If you are positive that the alternator is working fine but still your car is not starting up then there might be issue with the starter motor (which i am sure the mechanic must have noticed) on turning key if starter clicks but does not turn then solenoid might have burned out. If your car does not start and does not crank, theres likely an issue with the starter or the charging system, which includes the battery, the battery terminals, the alternator, and any wire. Wont start after replacing starter solanoid assembly i have a 1991 honda accord ls automatic.

With a new starter, battery, and alternator (assuming you have not drained the battery attempting to start it), the starter should attempt to crank over the engine. When your car wont start, its more likely to be a problem with something in the air/fuel system. Anyway, check wires between the battery, alternator and starter.

After making sure the engine won't start when you crank it, remove one plug and thread the tester in the hole. Replaced the starter solanoid assembly (all in one piece) after trying to start the car and got nothing but click, click, click when turning the key to the start position. When your car wont turn over, its usually a problem with one of the electronic ignition components.

If none of these work and your car still isnt starting, it could come down underlying issues with your vehicles starter, ignition switch, immobilizer system, or the neutral safety switch. Help please, my car won't start. (wasn't a smooth start, but still started).

I just changed the alternator and car still wont starttried boosting it but no turnover. However, it will continue to draw too much power and will drain the battery. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts.

I have a 2013 nissan sentra sv with a keyless ignition. There will either be nothing or just a click sound. Car not starting is a common complaint among car owners and is caused by faulty car batteries, spark plugs, car starter, or fuel pump.

Also, check ground wire between engine and body. If you crank the engine to test the starter and have no turnover, it could be one of three things including the battery, ignition switch, or starter. Drove the car around the block, started it a.

If the engine still won't start, the most likely culprit is a lack of compression. The vehicle may still start; The starter motor can have dead spots on the armature.

The fuel pump is working properly, as well as the spark plugs and boots, the battery had more than enough power to crank, the starter is working properly so why is the camshaft sensor the only code that appears but car still won't start.after changing the camshaft position sensor because of the code it still won't start even though the fuel injectors, starter, and spark plugs are firing. If you do have a voltmeter, measure the battery voltage with the engine running. This made me assume it was the starter.

Replaced the starter and it started right up. If the starter does not make any noise when the key it turned to crank over the engine, you have an issue with the fuses, or the circuit. The engine computer has a basic idle speed control setting for when the engine is new.

If the voltage is okay, the second half of the test requires a professional load tester. Most commonly, this will be the battery or the alternator. Few more times and everything seemed good.

I've already replaced the transmission, starter (twice), battery, and battery terminals. Most common problems are corroded terminals and wiring between the battery and the starter motor. Maybe you have trouble with the starter motor.

If it is low, the battery will never fully charge. Low the starter cannot be tested as it wont have enough amps to run. There could be a couple of reasons, but if a car does not want to start, people always assumes it is a faulty battery.
